It all started on Saturday. We were at Noel's aunts house for dinner, and Sean felt really tired. By the drive home it was obvious he was sick. Sunday he felt awful. Trouble breathing, tired, weak, very unpleasant. By Monday he felt so bad we decided to make a doctors appointment for him. When the nurse heard his wheezing she told him to head to the ER.
What an awful experience that was! First off I could not go in with him because I had the baby. I felt really bad sending him off by himself, knowing how sick he felt. Caden and I hung out in the car getting news via text message. The ER was so busy they did not have a room for Sean. Given they were not having him wait (they wanted to start breathing treatments) they put him in a wheelchair in the hallway. I understood that at first. But when he was in the hallway for 5 hours, I found that insane. I'm sure a room opened up at some point during that time!
In the end it was a painful day for him. He was sent home with lot's of medication, and we hoped he'd get better and it would end there. Tuesday morning I wake up exhausted, and feeling sick. I assume it's because i've been up with the baby for several nights. As the day goes on I realize no, I am in fact sick. Tuesday night was hell, trying to care for the baby, have Sean get rest, and keep all germs away from Noel. I'd been running around the house with lysol, but by the time I was feeling sick i'd lost the fight against germs.
Wednesday morning I hand baby duty over to Sean. Even if he is still sick, he was in better shape than I was. I go on to sleep almost all day. Around 12:00 we get a call from Noel's school to come pick her up. Turns out she is sick as well.
And then the baby. Caden starts coughing and sneezing. I guess now I don't have to worry about spreading it, because we've all got it. Ugh.
Hopefully it passes soon!
